PHYTEC represents an integrated new module on Freescale PowerPC MPC5554 basis.

Main improved characteristics compared to the 500 series the 32-bit controller works up to 132 MHz and offers two eTPUs (enhanced TPU) with two 12-bit AD-converters (eQADC) additional the controller has now Instruction Cache. The MMU allows the usage of complex operating systems.

Furthermore the module offers SRAM, Flash and serial SPI EEPROM, Ethernet (10/100Mbit), two Can Trasceiver with Bypass-possibilities for TTL-signals and one number chip (for eg. as Dongle).

The user has multitude of further possibilities because of the optional equipped logic. Beside from the access to different finished IP Cores to the logic own complex functionalities can be supplemented.

The phyCORE-MPC5554 module is the prime update of existing developments on a new performance level.

The high computing power together with special combination of comprehensive I/O with eTPU and Floating Point Unit is a profit for new applications.
